Cancellation and Refund Policy
The East Wind cancellation and refund policy for the various rental options is outlined below:
Peak Season One-Week Rentals – Reservation fee ($500.00 USD) paid at booking is refundable if cancellation is made prior to October 1st. Reservation fee is non-refundable after October 1st and less than 90 days prior to check-in. Payment in full at 90 days prior to check-in is non-refundable once paid.
Peak Season Two- to Three-Week & Monthly Rentals – Reservation fee ($500.00 USD) paid is nonrefundable. All deposits are non-refundable once paid.
Non-Peak Season Rentals – Reservation fee ($500.00 USD) is non-refundable once paid.
Deposits and fees will not be refunded by East Wind in cases of illness, death, weather, or travel-related emergencies. Because deposits are generally non-refundable once paid, East Wind highly recommends that all guests purchase trip insurance when booking is confirmed and deposits are paid. Trip protection/cancellation insurance is available online or via a travel agent. Travel Guard™ and Allianz are examples but there are many providers available. East Wind has no affiliation with any travel agent and/or travel insurance provider. All guests are responsible for their own travel insurance. Travel insurance is the sole source for reimbursement in such an event. Specific coverage questions should be directed to a travel insurance agent or company, and not to East Wind.
Important Notes Regarding Cancellations
If the East Wind Manager is unable to accommodate a guest’s schedule or apartment preference in August, he or she may, at their discretion, refund the reservation fee.
Deposits (and not reservation fees) are subject to forfeiture at the discretion of East Wind after a cancellation unless units are re-rented for the period of time of the original booking. In the event of reimbursement, East Wind will only reimburse the amount of recouped rental income and up to a maximum of the total deposit paid.
